Baked Beef Pastel Recipe

Baked Beef Pastel Recipe

We all have a favorite party pastry and mine is the mincemeat pastry! On this occasion I decided to make my oven-roasted ground beef pastry. In the preparation I used dough for oven pastry that does not need frying, so it is more practical to make this pastry to serve as a starter at a gathering of friends or at June parties.

Continue here to see how to make a creamy meat pie filling with ingredients that everyone has at home: onions, leeks, peppers, tomato sauce, meat broth and olives. Just saute everything, assemble your pastry with ready-made dough and take it to bake. That simple!

Ingredients for making baked meat pastry:

 2 packages of pastry dough

 500 grams of ground beef

 1 chopped onion

 1 chopped leek

 1 chopped red pepper

1 box of ready-made tomato sauce

 100 grams of chopped olives

2 tablespoons of lard or butter

 1 tablespoon of ground garlic

 1 tablespoon of hot paprika

 1 meat broth tablet

 1 pinch of cumin

How to make baked meat pastry:

Prepare ground beef stew by placing the lard or butter on the fire. Fry the onion, leeks and bell pepper in it for 1-2 minutes or until tender.

Add the seasonings: garlic, paprika, shredded meat tablet and cumin and stir to incorporate into the stir-fry. Add the minced meat and mix well to break up the lumps and get a loose minced meat.

When the ground meat is loose, add the tomato sauce and the olives and cook for another 5-10 minutes or until the sauce reduces and the meat is ready. Taste, match the flavor to taste with salt and pepper and turn off the heat.

Tip: After cooking the meat for the indicated time, the result should be a creamy and firm ground meat filling. If it's still too soft, let it cook for a few more minutes.

Roll out the pastry dough and cut discs with the help of a cutter, glass or other accessory. In the center of each disk place a portion of the creamy ground beef filling and close the pastry by pressing the edges with your fingers.

Tip: Brush the pastry closed with beaten yolk, so it will be very shiny and appetizing after baking.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180ÂșC for 20 minutes or until the pastry rises and browns. Your baked meat pastry is ready to delight everyone! Prepare for your June party and good appetite!
